Pancake Breakfast with Santa to Benefit the Victims of the Sunnyview Bus Wreck

This story in the Knoxville News Sentinel (behind the pay-wall for subscribers) detail an opportunity to help the families of the Sunnyview School Bus 57 wreck. The all-you-can-eat Pancakes with Santa event will be from 8-11 a.m. Dec. 20 at the Anderson Lodge 25 Fraternal Order of Police, at 424 Goans Ave. in Clinton, TN.

The event is being organized by the Tennessee Law Enforcement Wives. Marie Roberts one the organizations leaders said, “This is our first year doing one. We had it planned for the community, and when the bus accident happened, we decided to have the proceeds go toward the families of those killed in the crash,” Roberts said. “It is horrible to see a child die at any time of the year, but at Christmas, it is even worse. We just decided that was the right thing to do.”

The breakfast will include pancakes, sausage, juice, milk and coffee. Santa also will be on hand to talk with children, and photo opportunities will be available. Tickets are $5 per person in advance, $6 at the door the day of the event. Any donations are accepted.

For more information, contact Mrs. Roberts at 865-228-9697 or another organizer Niki Lucas at 865-566-1247.
